Welcome to the homepage of Dr. Alan Cresswell

Hello and welcome to my homepage. Like most homepages, I guess, this site contains stuff that I find interesting. I hope that within this something will be of interest to you.

This site is divided into two main parts, covering some aspects of my Christian faith and my interest in hillwalking. There is also some more information about me, if you're sufficiently nosey.

I have been a Christian for many years, with a long standing particular interest in how my Christian faith and science. During my time at University I was involved in several student groups, in addition to a local church, through which my faith grew considerably. I have recently found the Ship of Fools, where I have found a forum for debate that has helped my faith develop further in recent months. I have included (or rather will include!) several pages here covering areas of the Christian faith of particular interest to me, especially the relationship with science. Some of these pages have been developed as a result of discussions on various threads of the Ship of Fools Bulletin Boards.

There are also several pages related to hill walking. These include descriptions of some of my favourite walks and some photographs.

Update of my review of books and other resources on science and faith issues. (17/10/2002)
An exploration of The Second Law of Thermodynamics in relation to the Christian faith. (added 20/10/2002)
Photographs from my trip to the US in 2003 (added 16/07/2003)

This site is best viewed on a screen resolution of at least 800x600 pixels, and in my opinion looks better using a Netscape browser.

This site was moved to it's new server 1st October 2002 and has been accessed times since then.
